InMAP project will map and analyze the situation of memory archives that have been created in the last two decades by heritage organisations (e.g., museums, libraries, archives, universities, associations). Besides a characterisation of these recent memory archives, it is essential to understand the scale and extent of barriers to preservation and access. The diagnosis of the current situation and identification of the needs and challenges will contribute to the development of guidelines for public policies.
This project is developed under the Science4Policy 2023 (S4P-23): annual science for policy project call, an initiative by PlanAPP – Competence Centre for Planning, Policy and Foresight in Public Administration in partnership with the Foundation for Science and Technology, financed by Portugal´s Recovery and Resilience Plan.
