Armanda Salgado

Maria Armanda Salgado holds a PhD in Library and Information Science from the University of Évora (2014). She graduated in Modern and Contemporary Literature – Portuguese/French (2004) – from the University of Lisbon and holds a diploma in Advanced Studies in Comparative Literature from the University of Clermont-Ferrand (France, 2002), as well as a graduate diploma in Library and Information Science from the University of Évora (2007). Librarian at the Campo Arqueológico de Mértola (2009-2014); integrated researcher at the Archaeological Studies Centre of Arts and Heritage Sciences, Universities of Coimbra and Oporto / Mértola Archaeological Site (2009-2014); member-collaborator of the Interdisciplinary Centre for History, Culture and Societies at the University of Évora (CIDEHUS-UÉ/FCT) (2009-); member of the Working Group on Information Systems for Museums of BAD (2012) and in charge of its diffusion in the social media. 
Among the lines of investigation she pursues are issues such as social media marketing; information behavior, monitoring and evaluation of social media and digital humanities and its relation to cultural heritage, particularly in terms of communication and promotion of intangible heritage in museums.
